Robert Flynn, real estate broker & owner of Flynn Real Estate, Inc. grew up in rural Boone County and graduated from United Community School in 1970. He then went on to graduate from the University of Iowa in 1975. Robert began his career in insurance and still to this day has an insurance business as well as his real estate company. He specializes mainly in Crop & Hail insurance. He obtained his real estate license in 1989 but did not go on to start Flynn Real Estate, Inc. until 2001.
When he decided to start his real estate company in 2001, he asked Brian Byriel to join his team and a year later, asked Becky Dose to do the same. Both agents have been with Robert ever since and Carol & Jessica joined them in 2005 and 2007 respectively. Due to the team atmosphere, willingness to always help one another, mutual respect and the sheer amount of years spent working together, Flynn Real Estate has become like a family for its agents which in turn, creates a fantastic and superior experience for clients; no matter who they are working with.
Robert and his wife, Mary raised two children in Boone while staying very involved with the community. Robert spent much of his time coaching softball, baseball and basketball throughout the years. They are also members of Sacred Heart Church in Boone, where they remain actively involved. Robert is a long time member of the Boone/Story County I-Club, where he has been the treasurer for 30 years. He is also a lifetime member of the University of Iowa Alumni Association and the DMACC Alumni Association.
Robert's love of the outdoors and hunting has naturally led him to memberships with Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Unlimited, and the National Wild Turkey Federation. He is also a member of the Iowa Cattlemen's Association.

Robert continues to be very involved and supportive in the Boone community. Robert has a large extended family who all reside in Boone County as well as his 2 children and grandchildren. He treats his clients as though they are part of his extended family; always going above and beyond to insure their satisfaction in the real estate process, whether they are selling their home or looking to purchase their dream home. His knowledge of everything "Boone" is incredible and a very valuable characteristic to clients trying to navigate the area market.
